Pollux and Castor were known to represent the ‘Twins’ of Gemini. Castor was a horseman and Pollux was known to be very strong. These two twins were known to be very handsome men. Their mother’s name was Leda, however these twins didn’t have the same fathers. Pollux’s father was Zeus and Castor’s father was Tyndarus. When Castor died and became immortal, Pollux was mourning and very depressed because his brother was gone. He pleaded to his father Zeus for help. So in Zeus decides too make sure the two brothers stay together, so he puts Pollux up in the skies so they can live together forever.
